Timeline
On this page you will find all deadlines regarding application for the NAHSS. It also gives a general overview of what your year will look like if you are selected.
Please note: all NAHSS activities and any visit to your university's Executive Board before and/or after the summer program are mandatory. Chinese language and culture classes are an exception; these are voluntary.

| December 1, 2024 | Applications NAHSS 2025 open |
| January 9, 2025 | Applications NAHSS 2025 close |
| January 31, 2025 | Announcement first selection round. Each university will draw up a short list of students for the national second round. Students who have applied will be informed of the results of first round. |
| February 21, 2025 | Announcement second selection round. A national selection committee selects 70 participants for the 2025 NAHSS edition. Students and partners will be notified of the final selection of participants. |
| March, 2025 | Participants list their preferred consulting project |
| March 22 and 23, 2025 | Kick-Off weekend |
| March - June 2025 | Preparatory work in the Netherlands, including meetings with the partner consulting project |
| March - May, 2025 (t.b.d.) | Weekly Chinese language and culture course (optional) |
| end of April or beginning of May | Masterclass |
| July | Take-Off |
| July - August 2025 | Students travel 3-4 weeks to 2 locations in Southeast Asia. The NAHSS 2025 will visit Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City |
| August - September, 2025 | Completing the consulting project by presenting the final results to the partner |
| End of October, 2025 | NAHSS Closing Ceremony |
1 The NAHSS is in close contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The trip will take place as long as the situation around Covid-19 allows, if not, the entire program will take place in the Netherlands.
